Among the most cheerful and charming quilts made in the 20th century were white with red, blue, green, or multicolored embroidered images-some realistic and lovely, others cartoonish and silly. These quilts were hugely popular across the country from the 1910s into the 1930s and 100 years later these newly minted antiques survive in considerable numbers. Autumn officially arrives in Bucks County with the opening of the 95th Juried Art Show at Phillips' Mill. Open from September 21 through October 27, this historic art show continues the traditions of its esteemed founders -- the Pennsylvania Impressionists of the New Hope Colony School including William Lathrop, Daniel Garber, Edward Redfield, and Fern Coppedge. Featuring an amazing array of fine art created by over 200 regional artists, the show expresses the styles and subjects of our times. Artists will be on hand to mix and mingle with guests throughout the run of the show. Be sure to check the Mill's website for the "Meet the Artists" schedule to find out when your favorite artist
